    Fantastic

We have a old english bulldog who suffers from a itchy patch on the rear of one of her ears which she will scratch,we have brought different recommend items from the pet shop and vets but nothing has really stopped her scratching resulting in a area with very little fur which looks painful. So I have used this once a day for a week and it has finally stopped her scratching and her fur has nearly grown back 10 days later, I have used it on her face to as she does have sensitive skin and this has stopped her scratching. It does smell nice and is easy to apply and does not leave her fur feeling greasy unlike other items we have used, I would highly recommend giving this a try if you dog has itchy or sensitive skin.

I like the fact it's not harmful if ingested

My ten year old dog has developed a yeast infection on her skin with dark crusty patches, she is having weekly baths with a product the vet gave me but has now developed sores between her toes, I am hoping this balm will stop it getting any worse. It's easy to apply and after using it a few times it seems to be having an effect but I'm covering it as she's licking her feet.

    First Aid for Dogs

Dogslife Itch Relief SKIN BALM – 60ml/2 fl.oz.Itchiness can be quite a problem with dogs, especially on their feet that are easy for them to get to and chew. They can also get 'hot spots' that can be itchy as well as cuts and scrapes from snuffling around in the undergrowth and hedgerows etc.• The box that the screw top tin of Skin Balm is in, is tamper-proof sealed with cellophane.• There is information printed on the box as to the Aims and Uses of the Skin Balm, as well as the List of Ingredients and How to Use.• Unscrew the tin lid and you see a creamy white solid product.• This organic, natural, cruelty free Skin Balm has a lovely herbal aroma with high notes of Lavender.• Not much is needed which makes it very economical to use. It also has a long Best Before Date – mine is 11 September 2023.• This Skin Balm has anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and anti-inflammatory properties. It is for use on Dry Flaky Skin, Inset Bites, Burns, Cuts, Scrapes & Wounds and Allergy Symptoms.• It can be used several times a day, and will not harm your pet if it is licked off.I rate this Dog Skin Balm, but, if the problem your dog has is chronic, or you are in ANY doubt whatsoever, I would advise you to have a consultation with your Vet.At time of writing this Review, the RRP is £10.99, which is reasonable for this UK, produced, useful and effective product.PS - I see no reason why the Skin Balm couldn't be used on Cats too. I would certainly use it for them.

    Dog balm

If you didn't read the label before using you would have assumed you have some lip balm and have used it on yourself. This is a balm designed to prevent itching in dogs. My sheltie appears to have a grass allergy, so everytime he goes outside he comes in with little read spots on his belly. He constantly scratches until he bleeds, so I thought this would be worth a try. It has the same texture as petroleum jelly. Easy to apply and seemed to ease him until he went out again. Will continue to use to see the difference.Of course, I do like to try anything I use on the dog on myself first. I mean if it stings me, what is it doing to the dog. I suffer from flaky psoriasis on the elbows , I placed a bit of balm on it and to my surprise it wasn't so flaky and didn't itch anymore, so I can only hope it has the same affect on my dogs. It covers a variety of issues so a good thing to keep in your doggy first aid kit. 5*
